Father George Staley
Director of Campus Ministry and Chaplain
Hello! My name is Fr. George Staley, and I am currently the director of campus ministry and chaplain for the Catholic Student Center at Lindenwood University. I am also an associate pastor at St. Peter and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Churches in St. Charles.
I grew up in Des Peres in St. Louis County. I was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church and attended St. Louis University High School. Upon graduating in 2010, I entered Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. I spent nine years in formation before being ordained a priest on May 25, 2019. I was assigned and spent four years at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Oakville, MO. I began my current assignment in August 2023.
Among other things, I enjoy prayer, working out, calling and spending time with friends, reading, St. Louis sports, and spending time with college students!
Jill Joeckel
Campus Minister
Hi, I’m Jill! As of January 2024, I began working at the Catholic Student Center as a part-time campus minister. After previously being a student for 3.5 years, it is so exciting to return to serve the vibrant community that was so formative for me while I was in college. I am inspired by the words St. Pope John Paul II said during his homily at mass for World Youth Day in 1993: “This is no time to be ashamed of the Gospel. It is the time to preach it from the rooftops. Do not be afraid to break out of comfortable and routine modes of living in order to take up the challenge of making Christ known in the modern metropolis."
Part of our staff is comprised of FOCUS missionaries. These amazing people are college graduates who spend at least a year with our Catholic community here in Saint Charles. Click the image to learn more about these team members.
